Our AI Partners Are Not Human
The partners listed on our Team page — The Architect, The Pattern Matcher, The Operator, The Founder Whisperer, The Catalyst, The Contrarian, The Protocol Builder — are AI personas. They are not real people. They do not have human identities. Their avatars are abstract/geometric designs, not depictions of real or fictional humans.
How We Use AI
- Voice sessions: Your meetings use real-time speech-to-text, a large language model (LLM) for conversation, and text-to-speech. The voice you hear is synthetic.
- Screening: Applications are scored by an LLM against a structured rubric.
- Feedback: Post-session scorecards are generated by an LLM analyzing your transcript.
- Reports: All reports (deck review, due diligence, competitor analysis, etc.) are generated by LLMs using your application data and the model's training knowledge.
- Email: Transactional emails (confirmations, feedback, reminders) are generated by AI.
- Social media: Our X/Twitter and Telegram content is generated by an AI agent (IronClaw), with human review and approval before posting.
AI Limitations We Want You to Know
- AI can be wrong. LLMs generate plausible text, not verified truth. Reports may contain factual errors, outdated information, or hallucinations. Always verify critical information independently.
- Scores are subjective. Our grading is a structured approximation, not an absolute measure of your startup's quality. Different AI models or prompts might score you differently.
- Market data may be outdated. The AI's knowledge of competitors, funding rounds, and market trends comes from training data with a knowledge cutoff. Recent events may not be reflected.
- AI cannot replace human investors. A high score from Rigor VC does not guarantee fundraising success. A low score does not mean your startup will fail. Real investors evaluate many things AI cannot fully assess: personal chemistry, gut conviction, timing, network effects of the relationship itself.
- Voice AI has latency. You may notice brief pauses in conversation. This is the AI processing your speech and generating a response.
Why We're Transparent
We believe AI-powered evaluation is the future of venture capital. We also believe founders deserve to know exactly what they're interacting with. We will never pretend our AI is human, and we will always be upfront about what AI can and cannot do.
